GENERAL RULES
SUBMISSION ELIGIBILITY
Eligible for the festival are films of Gujarati Language irrespective of theme or genres.
Feature Films must have been completed on or after April 05, 2022. Feature films must be 41 minutes and over in length.
For short films, a Premiere status is strongly preferred, but not required. Short films must be 10 minutes or less in length.
For Documentary, films Must be between 10 minutes to 40 minutes.
IGFF will not consider previously submitted films.
All films MUST include subtitles in English.
Filmmakers may submit more than one entry. Each entry must be accompanied by a separate entry form and entry fee.
IGFF reserves the right to determine eligibility of any work submitted.

SUBMISSION SCREENING
The IGFF only accepts Submission through Online Platforms.
The submitted Films will be reviewed by the IGFF committee, comprised of the festival organizers.
COMPLETED SUBMISSIONS INCLUDE
Submission fees.
All required fields through Online platform.
All films must include responses to the following: Synopsis (in English), 2 high resolution stills from the film, full cast and credits list, and an official film poster.
PAYMENTS
All payments and fees for submissions must be paid through the Online submission process. The IGFF does not accept any cash /mailed payments.
There are absolutely no refunds.
OFFICIAL SELECTIONS (FILMS)
The festival committee makes all programming decisions. If accepted we will notify filmmakers by email and phone by Apr 12, 2022. Films not selected will receive notification by email. Upon being accepted as an Official Selection entry at the IGFF, each participant is required to comply with the following regulations:
All Official Selections are requested to provide an electronic press kit including:
- Production still photos, images that accurately represent the look of the film
- Director’s photo and biography/filmography
- Director’s statement
- Credits list
- All photos should be print-quality (300dpi) files.
All Official Selections must submit
- DCP for Feature Film.
- Pen drive or Blue Ray DVD for Short film & Documentary Film.
All submissions must include the Title, tracking #, Language, Director(s)’ name, Contact Info, and Genre.
All Official Selections must submit their DCP as one package to the address mention in the Notification Mail, on or before May 18, 2023.
The IGFF is absolutely not responsible for lost or damaged packages. Senders are responsible for tracking their safely-packaged and insured shipments.
IGFF will not accept submissions if customs and delivery fees have not been paid by the submitting party. Submission packages from outside the US must be labelled ‘Trade Sample’ on any customs label.
IGFF covers return shipping of accepted films’ DCP only. DVD’s, Pen Drives and Blue-Rays WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
If applicable regarding shipping, the IGFF is absolutely not responsible for damages during shipping.
SCREENING OR RENTAL FEES
IGFF does NOT CONSIDER films that require SCREENING/RENTAL FEES.
Accepted films may be screened minimum 2 times, at the discretion of the Festival.
Screenings are scheduled during the Festival at the discretion of IGFF. While every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, IGFF reserves the right to make changes at any time for any reason. IGFF will not be liable for any costs claimed as a result of a change in scheduling.
IGFF and its venue partners will not be held liable for any failure in the technical quality of its presentation resulting in the cancellation or interruption of a screening, nor will submission fees be refunded in any such case.
No film may be withdrawn from the festival program after its selection, and no film may be screened outside the festival venue during the Festival and before its official presentation without the approval of IGFF.
SUBMISSION AGREEMENT T&C
I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following:
I have read, understood, and complied with all eligibility and submission requirements
All the statements and documents provided are authentic and accurate.
In consideration for the selection opportunity into the IGFF, I release and discharge the IGFF from any and all claims, demands, or causes of actions related to misappropriation or infringement of copyright or violation of any other right arising from or relating to my submission hereunder.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the IGFF from any claims that arise as a result of my screenplay and/or film submission or screening of my film (upon selection) as well as from damage to or loss of any submitted documents or materials enroute to the festival.
I have all rights necessary and am duly authorized to submit this screenplay and/or film to the IGFF.
I understand, as the authorized and responsible representative of my selected film, any prize awarded to the selected film is to be received by me or any other singular, official representative of the selected film.
I understand that the IGFF may disqualify and reject any submission that it determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, is not in compliance, in whole or in part, with the mentioned Terms.
I understand that the IGFF does not issue any form of refund to any selected film regardless of circumstances.
By clicking “Submit Now” below, I freely and voluntarily give and express my full and complete acceptance of all of the terms and provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions. I acknowledge that no oral representations, inducements, promises or assurances of any kind, and no representations, inducements, promises or assurances not set forth in these Terms and Conditions, have been made to me or the Film’s Owners by the Festival, IGFF, or any IGFF Related Parties.
SUBMISSION RELEASE AGREEMENT
The IGFF is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the festival for promotional purposes.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
Official Selected film cannot be screened before IGFF date in CHICAGO, IL.
The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the IGFF from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses, including but not limited, to attorney’s fees and costs of the court), which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
The decision of the Jury will be final and can’t be challenged.
IGFF is under no obligation to provide to the Applicant or any other representative of the Film any comments or feedback regarding the submitted Film, any information relating to the manner in which the Film is, will be, or was reviewed; any views that IGFF or any reviewers of the Film may hold concerning the Film; any reasons why the Film, should it not be accepted for exhibition at the Festival, was not accepted; or any other information relating to the Festival’s review, consideration and/or selection process regarding the Film specifically or submissions generally beyond the information set forth in these Rules and Regulations.
IGFF disavows any responsibility for, and will not be held responsible or liable for, the contents of any internal comments or feedback regarding any Film that are or may be obtained by the Applicant or any other representative of the Film; any communications by any representative of IGFF relating to the Film or the Festival selection process; the manner in which the Film shall be, is or was considered and reviewed; the identity or identities of any specific reviewers of the Film; and/or any failure on the part of IGFF or the Festival to provide the Applicant or any other representative(s) of the Film with information concerning the Louisiana International Film Festival’s consideration and/or review of the Film.
IGFF may without advance notice amend these Rules & Terms from time to time. Each and every such amendment shall be become effective immediately. It is your responsibility to periodically check for updates of these Rules & Terms.
